She completed her rheumatology fellowship at New York University where she became chief rheumatology fellow due to her excellence in teaching and leadership skills. She is a graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans, where she was awarded Ruth and Lee Faust Award for the senior in Biological Sciences graduating with highest GPA.
