Overview
Raised in Redmond, Washington, Dr. Teerink earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Gonzaga University in Spokane. She graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed a family medicine internship at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan and a family medicine residency at Central Washington Family Medicine in Yakima. A board certified family physician, Dr. Teerink spent 14 years working as a family medicine physician at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital where she saw both in and outpatients. She spent the next four years working as an assistant professor at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima. Her clinical interests surround family healthcare to include all generations with a special interest in women and children. Dr. Teerink is passionate about encouraging patients to make lifestyle changes to better manage their own health.
�I will never give up on believing in what a patient can do for themselves. I have a license to write prescriptions but it is up to a patient to follow a physician's recommendations. It is important that I listen to each patient so I may educate them and meet them where they are at with their healthcare needs at the time of each appointment.�
Married to Dr. Duane and raising their three kids together, they enjoy adventuring together. When not working, Dr. Teerink enjoys recreating outdoors. A few of her favorite activities are backpacking, hiking, skiing, horseback riding and gardening.
