Cyril O. Spann, Jr., M.D., joins Piedmont from Emory Healthcare. He is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and graduated from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Dr. Spann has over 30 years of experience in gynecology and gynecologic oncology. During his time at Emory, he served as Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology Service at both Emory Midtown and Grady Hospital. Dr. Spann is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a Diplomate for the American Board of Quality Assurance Utilization Review Physicians. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Spann served as president of the Atlanta Medical Association and the Georgia OBGYN Society.Dr. Spann specializes in managing patients with cancer in the female reproductive tract.
