Overview
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Walch�s family moved to Gainesville, Florida shortly after his birth. He attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for his undergraduate studies in both chemical engineering and neurobiological science. He earned his medical doctorate at the University of Florida, taking an extra year to do dedicated research in stroke and aneurysm research. Dr. Walch completed a neurosurgical residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. During his education, he took a research year to obtain a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration. Dr. Walch�s clinical interests center around conditions involving the brain and spine including the management of meningiomas, pituitary adenomas and gliomas. He also has extensive training in simple and complex spine conditions including herniated discs, lumbar stenosis, spondylolisthesis and lumbar fusions and fusion revision.

When not working, Dr. Walch loves to ski, hike and travel. He enjoys staying active but also appreciates good movies and TV at home with his husband and their dog.
