Mitchell P. Weikert, M.D., M.S. is an Associate Professor at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in cornea, external disease, cataract and refractive surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine’s John. A. Moran Eye Center. Dr. Weikert’s research interests include biomedical optics, anterior segment imaging, intraocular lens technology, and wavefront applications in cataract and refractive surgery. He is the Residency Program Director at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Lion’s Eye Bank of Texas. He is a recipient of the Baylor College of Medicine Louis J. Girard Distinguished Alumni Award, the AAO Secretariat Award, the AAO Achievement Award, and has been listed in “The Best Doctors in America” on an annual basis since 2008.
