It was as a medical student at UCLA that he developed a close mentorship with world-class Laryngologists & Voice Specialists, Drs. Gerald Berke and Dinesh Chhetri. Thus, he remained in Los Angeles to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology at the prestigious Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the Ronald Reagan – UCLA Medical Center. He was then chosen to complete a Laryngology Fellowship at UCLA, where he further honed his skills in the comprehensive management of voice, airway and swallowing disorders, while concurrently holding positions of Clinical Instructor in Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center and as an attending surgeon at Olive View – UCLA Medical Center.Dr. Salinas has been recognized for his achievements by the City of Los Angeles, the California State Senate, the California State Assembly, JPL-NASA, and the UCLA Latino Alumni Association.
