Overview
John P. Uribe, MD, MPH, FACP, is a primary care physician at UPMC. Dr. Uribe received his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Uribe received a Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health. He is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American Colleague of Physicians. Dr. Uribe practices primary care and geriatric medicine in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. He also practices at local personal care homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing home centers, in metropolitan Pittsburgh. As a bilingual physician, Dr. Uribe engages with Spanish and English-speaking populations to assist with overcoming cultural-language barriers in the coordination of primary care. Dr. Uribe’s clinical interests include global health, geriatrics, hospice, and palliative care medicine.
