Neuralgia Treatments

LYRICA is indicated for: Management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, Management of postherpetic neuralgia, Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older, Management of fibromyalgia, Management of neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury LYRICA is indicated for:, Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) ( 1 ), Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) ( 1 ), Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older ( 1 ), Fibromyalgia ( 1 ), Neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury ( 1 )

Epilepsy Carbamazepine is indicated for use as an anticonvulsant drug. Evidence supporting efficacy of carbamazepine as an anticonvulsant was derived from active drug-controlled studies that enrolled patients with the following seizure types: Partial seizures with complex symptomatology (psychomotor, temporal lobe). Patients with these seizures appear to show greater improvement than those with other types. Generalized tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal). Mixed seizure patterns which include the above, or other partial or generalized seizures. Absence seizures (petit mal) do not appear to be controlled by carbamazepine. Trigeminal Neuralgia Carbamazepine is indicated in the treatment of the pain associated with true trigeminal neuralgia. Beneficial results have also been reported in glossopharyngeal neuralgia. This drug is not a simple analgesic and should not be used for the relief of trivial aches or pains.

Catapres‑TTS ® is indicated in the treatment of hypertension. It may be employed alone or concomitantly with other antihypertensive agents.

NUCYNTA (tapentadol) tablets are indicated for the management of acute pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic and for which alternative treatments are inadequate in adults and pediatric patients aged 6 years and older with a body weight of at least 40kg. NUCYNTA tablets are an opioid analgesic indicated for the management of acute pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic and for which alternative treatments are inadequate in adults and pediatric patients aged 6 years and older with a body weight of at least 40 kg. ( 1 ) Limitations of Use Because of the risks of addiction, abuse, misuse, overdose, and death, which can occur at any dosage or duration, and persist over the course of therapy, reserve opioid analgesics, including NUCYNTA tablets for use in patients for whom alternative treatment options are ineffective, not tolerated, or would be otherwise inadequate to provide sufficient management of pain.
