Dr. Finelt is an Assistant Professor and Director of Pediatric Dermatology for the Department of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell. She is board certified in Dermatology as well as Pediatric Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.Dr. Finelt earned her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine where she was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her internship in pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center and residency in dermatology at Stony Brook University where she served as chief resident. She completed her pediatric dermatology fellowship at Lurie Children's Hospital at Northwestern University.Dr. Finelt has been awarded the Departmental Chairman's award in 2018 the Departmental Teacher of the Year award in 2019 and was one of the awardees of Northwell's Teacher of the Year award in 2020. She teaches medical students as well as pediatric and dermatology residents.
