Dr. Searle Turner

Dr. Blurton is Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology.He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography. After medical school Dr. Blurton completed his Residency in Pediatrics at the University of Nevada and went on to complete his Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco.He joined Pacific Cardiovascular Associates after serving as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he was on faculty in the Pediatric Cardiology department for three years. Dr. Blurton's faculty appointment at Loma Linda provided him the opportunity to manage complex pediatric congenital heart disease patients at a premier tertiary referral center.His specific areas of clinical expertise and research interests include Transthoracic, Transesophageal, and Fetal echocardiography. He has particular interest in cardiovascular screening for competitive athletes prior to participation in high level high school or college sports. In addition to his strong clinical and diagnostic skills, Dr. Blurton brings an evidence based approach to his patient treatment strategies.  Dr. Blurton lives in Long Beach and is married to Pediatric Nurse practioner. They have two sons, he is an avid cyclist and big fan of premier league soccer.
