Jan S. Grudziak, MD, PhD, was born and raised in Poland and completed his pre-med and medical graduate school at the K. Marcinkowski University School of Medicine in Poznan, Poland. In 1991, he finished and defended his doctorate thesis about genetic, demographic, and treatment variables influencing the final treatment outcome of congenital clubfeet. Dr. Grudziak came to Pittsburgh to participate in research projects at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He repeated his orthopaedic residency at UPMC and completed his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He currently serves as medical director of Children's Sports Medicine at UPMC Children's Hospital and an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
