
Overview
Philip S. Lee, MD, PhD, is a neurosurgeon who specializes in epilepsy and movement disorders. He provides care for people with a variety of brain and spine conditions, including brain and spine tumors, facial pain, traumatic brain and spine injury and degenerative spine disease. He’s also received advanced training in awake and asleep intraoperative brain mapping, laser ablation and image-guided stereotactic neurosurgical procedures.|Dr. Lee received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he also completed a fellowship in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. He also earned a doctorate in clinical psychology at George Mason University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental cognitive neuroscience at Georgetown University.|He’s an active member of the American Epilepsy Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.|Dr. Lee received the Theodore Kurze Senior Prize in Neurological Surgery and Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
