Dr. Karen Chu is a board-certified OBGYN and a co-founder and partner of San Francisco Women's Healthcare, Inc. Dr. Chu sees patients from throughout the Bay Area at both the downtown San Francisco and Laurel Village offices of the practice. Dr. Chu is a talented gynecologic surgeon and provides a variety of surgical and nonsurgical treatments for conditions including pelvic pain, pelvic prolapse, vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, infertility, and miscarriage.Dr. Chu graduated from the BA/MD program at Brooklyn College before earning her doctor of medicine degree at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University Hospital and Medical Center at Stony Brook. Dr. Chu is a member of a number of medical associations including the American Medical Association, the San Francisco Medical Society, the San Francisco GYN Society, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.Patients are often referred to Dr. Chu because of the time she takes to listen to each patient and treat them with kindness and respect, never making a patient feel rushed.
