I like partnering with people and their families to establish healthy goals and lifestyles to prevent problems later on – and of course taking care of them if something does happen, establishing realistic expectations about problems and what treatments can accomplish. | Why I entered medicine | Ever since I was little, I wanted to go into medicine. It all boils down to helping people, and I felt medicine was the way I could do that. Entering medical school, I knew that I wanted to focus on Family Medicine and my experience doing medical rotations solidified my career path. I wanted to be the doctor who people saw for the holistic management of their well-being and I wanted to establish relationships with patients of all age groups. | Community involvement | I enjoy working with medical students from local universities as a mentor and teacher. I enjoy guiding future doctors and nurse practitioners with my personal style of medicine. | Personal interests | I love music and try to keep active and healthy. I also like to travel and cook. The Caribbean and Southeast Asia are two of my favorite regions to visit, but vineyard tours of Napa Valley and Bordeaux are on my to-do list! I’m of Ukrainian background and can understand and semi-fluently speak the language as well as a basic understanding of the Polish language.
