Dr. Vincent J. Ross

Dr. Efren Caballes joined Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, a division of OCC, in 2016. He takes a comprehensive approach to musculoskeletal care, incorporating exercise, physical modalities, bracing, injections, and regenerative medicine. He has a special interest in diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound and focuses on aligning treatment with each patient’s recovery needs and goals. Dr. Caballes earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at NYU. His training included working with endurance athletes at the NYU Running Performance Lab and artists at the Juilliard School and Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. While in New York, he developed a passion for running, joining the Prospect Park Track Club and volunteering with Back on My Feet. In Colorado, he continues to care for runners and triathletes at all levels, from recreational to Olympic athletes. He is a Level 1 certified USA Track and Field coach and was selected to serve as a volunteer physician for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee in 2020. He also teaches sports ultrasound nationally and serves as a clinical instructor for multiple medical programs. Scott G. Resig, M.D.is board certified through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Resig specializes in complex conditions of the lower extremity with a focus in foot and ankle as well as hip and knee joint replacement at Advanced Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver and Parker, Colorado. Dr. Resig pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, graduating with distinction. He received his medical degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After completing his residency, he pursued fellowship training at the Adidas Sports Medicine Institute and then continued his fellowship training in orthopedic foot & ankle surgery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Resig is currently the Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Sky Ridge Medical Center. He moved to Denver and joined Denver-Vail Orthopedics, P.C. in 2004. Dr. Resig utilizes many of the most advanced technologies available in orthopedics, including robotic knee surgery, anterior minimally invasive hip replacement, and custom ankle replacement. Dr. Resig hopes that the use of the newest technological advances in orthopedics can give his patients the best outcomes with a quicker recovery.
