Overview
Dr. Hisashi Tsukada is a thoracic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is also an assistant professor in surgery at Harvard Medical School. He received his medical degree and a PhD in medicine from St. Marianna University School of Medicine (Kawasaki, Japan). He then completed a residency in surgery at Mitsui Memorial Hospital (Tokyo). His fellowships include thoracic surgery at St. Marianna University Hospital, thoracic surgery research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and interventional pulmonology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. His research interest is in the use of minimally invasive techniques to decrease pain, improve recovery, and improve ultimate outcomes.
