In 2022, she was recognized as a Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars, a 40 Under 40 Houston Business Journal honoree, an Association of Women Surgeons 40 Under 40 honoree, a UT Health Houston McGovern Medical School 2022 Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award/Champion of Clinical Learning Environment, and she won the inaugural John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Distinguished Faculty Award in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
