Dr. Caffrey completed a fellowship in burn surgery (adult and pediatrics) at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, in June 2014. Following that, she continued as a burn and research fellow at the Johns Hopkins Burn Center and Michael D. Hendrix Burn Research Center. Dr. Caffrey earned an undergraduate degree in biology at Salisbury University, followed by a master's in biomedical sciences and a doctor of osteopathic medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery at both Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York, and Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, New York. Dr. Caffrey is a member of the American Burn Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Women Surgeons.
