As a pediatric urologist, I specialize in disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and genitalia. As a pediatric nephrologist, I care for children with high blood pressure, acute kidney damage, chronic kidney failure, genetic kidney disease and inflammation of the kidneys, as well as for children who need kidney transplants. The advances made in pediatric nephrology over the past 30 years have made it possible for infants and children who suffer from kidney disease to live long, healthy lives, where before there was very little hope.
