Overview
As a maternal fetal medicine physician, I provide preconception care, management of high risk ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis as well as care of patients with pregnancies complicated by maternal health conditions and fetal complications.
Dr. Monson completed her medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine after earning her undergraduate degree at Willamette University in Biology (Major), Chemistry & Spanish (Minors). Dr. Monson completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Utah followed by fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. In 2021 Dr. Monson completed a two-year Fetal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Monson is board certified in OB/GYN and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an Assistant Professor at Intermountain Healthcare and at the University of Utah where she is actively engaged in expanding fetal surgical services for patients in the Intermountain West. Dr. Monson is primarily based at Intermountain Medical Center and at the Grant Scott Bonham Fetal Center at Primary Children's Hospital. When not at work, Dr. Monson loves to spend time with her husband and young children.
