Overview
My clinical interests include the management and treatment of high risk pregnancy, with a focus on the management of placenta accreta spectrum disorders. I currently see patients for a variety of services such as maternal-fetal medicine consultations, high-risk prenatal care, cervical cerclage, chorionic villous sampling (CVS), amniocentesis, intrauterine transfusion (IUT), vaginal, operative vaginal deliveries, cesarean delivery, and cesarean hysterectomy.
Ibrahim Hammad is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He specializes in managing high-risk pregnancies of all types and provides care for patients before, during, and after pregnancy. His practice includes patients for whom he provides comprehensive high-risk prenatal care as well as consultative services. His clinical interests include surgical obstetrical complications, especially the management and treatment of placenta Accreta spectrum disorders. He performs a variety of procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), percutaneous umbilical cord sampling (PUBS), intrauterine transfusion (IUT), cervical cerclage, and vaginal and cesarean delivery. His research focuses on using stem cells to decrease the risk of uterine scar formation in the setting of cesarean section and gynecological procedures. Dr. Hammad lives in Salt Lake with his wife and child. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors in all seasons. He loves snow skiing, camping, running and particularly enjoys obstacle course races. He is also fluent in French, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, Arabic, and Portuguese.
