I received my M.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia and then completed my residency in urology at the University of Michigan in 1989. I remained on faculty at Michigan and rose to the academic rank of Professor and was the Edward J. McGuire Research Professor. I find the reconstructive aspect of urologic surgery the most exciting and challenging from a strategic and surgical perspective.
