Dr. Giesler has accumulated vast experience in an array of advanced radiation oncology technologies including IMRT, stereotatic body radiotherapy, stereotatic radiosurgery and Gamma knife radiation therapy. He also has extensive experience in brachytherapy, including the treatment of gynecologic and prostate malignancies with high-dose-rate Iridium-192 and low-dose-rate Iodine-125 seeds. Dr. Giesler served as Cancer Committee Chairman at the former Southern Regional Medical Center from 2000-2005. He has been an active participant and presenter in hundreds of multidisciplinary and specialty tumor conferences throughout his tenure in Atlanta. In 2016, Dr. Giesler was recognized by his peers and the Atlanta Magazine as a ""Top Doc"" in the specialty of Radiation Oncology.
