He also completed a year of orthopedic trauma research at Denver Health Medical Center. Dr. Newman completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Colorado, followed by a prestigious fellowship at the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail. There, he treated professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, English Premier League, Ironman, and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams. He now serves as a consultant team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association at both national and international events.
