Philosophy of care | My goal as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner is to provide safe, empathetic and compassionate care for you or your loved one. I am excited to combine my love of nursing with my love of psychiatric medicine to provide my patients with comprehensive mental health care. | Why I entered medicine | I have known since a young age that I want to help people. When I developed an interest in nursing and medicine, my journey became clear to me. Mental health itself has been a passion of mine since my first psychology class in high school. | Since becoming a nurse in 2007, I have had the opportunity to help people in so many different ways. I am committed to continuing education to stay up to date on the best evidence-based treatments to provide the best outcomes for my patients. | Community involvement | I enjoy fundraising for rescue animals. Now that I am finished with my degree, I hope to become more hands-on with this mission. | Personal interests | I enjoy every moment with my family. I love to read, travel, scrapbook, and spend time with my animals.
