Brian Jones, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in full spectrum treatment of cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back) and lumbar spine (low-back) surgery. "Originally from Dallas, Texas, Dr. Midori Higashi graduated at the top of her class at Western University College of Podiatric Medicine, and then completed an additional three years of reconstructive foot and ankle surgery residency training at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. Her interests include reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive surgery, total ankle implants, trauma and bunion surgery. She is active in the nationally-ranked Podiatric Residency Program at Swedish Medical Center, being voted as ""Teacher of the Year Award” in 2022 and receiving the Resident Lecture award in 2017 and 2018. She is invited regularly to speak at local and national professional meetings, such as the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association and the International Foot and Ankle Foundation. Dr. Higashi spent her early years as a competitive figure skater. In addition to skating, she also did extensive dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz. She sustained many injuries over the years. She understands the aches and pains of being an athlete, and how important it is to return to a desired sport or hobby. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young son.
