Overview
Tyler Backlas, MD, works hard to understand each patient so that he can match treatment options to their preferences and lifestyle. He promotes wellness and prevents disease by addressing the biological, psychological, social and spiritual elements of each patient's care. Dr. Backlas completed his bachelor's degree in biology, human physiology and chemistry at Northern Michigan University and his medical degree at Michigan State University. He also completed a family medicine residency through the Sioux Falls Family Medicine Residency program in South Dakota. In his free time, Dr. Backlas enjoys spending time with his wife, children and cat. He also enjoys exploring the Colorado Springs area by hiking, skiing and going on mountain drives.
