Lisa M. Matthews, PA

Lisa Matthews brings over 30 years of oncology experience to her position with Intermountain Health. Her medical career began when she cared for her sister who had a heart condition that made her weak and easily tired. When her sister passed away, Lisa became inspired to help people live healthier lives, which led her to practice medicine.

Her medical journey began as a PA with Correctional Medical Systems in Smyrna, Delaware, where she coordinated and implemented a wellness program for female inmates. She then provided corporate medical services for E.I. DuPont De Nemours in Wilmington. She then became a PA at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. Her last job was at Fox Chase Temple Hospital in Philadelphia, where she worked extensively with patients undergoing bone marrow transplants.

Lisa is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned a BS from Spelman College in Atlanta and a BS from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia�s physician�s assistant program.

Lisa enjoys traveling and exploring new culinary frontiers, reading books, and learning to play the violin. She also enjoys movie nights with friends and attending plays and live concerts.
