His areas of special focus and primary interest include trauma, burn, critical care and acute care surgery.He is published in such peer-reviewed journals as the Journal of Trauma, Military Medicine, and Prehospital and Disaster Medicine</em>. He has spoken throughout the country on topics ranging from trauma innovation and strategies for neglected trauma disease to training for endotracheal intubation and recognition and management of nerve agent causalities.Dr. Cooper is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Cooper enjoys golfing, playing tennis and advancing his photography skills.
