Subependymomas are slow-growing tumors that develop from glial cells, which are specialized cells that surround and support neurons (nerve cells). Subependymomas can occur in the brain and spinal cord. 
What are the causes of Subependymoma?
The cause of subependymomas is still unknown. However, subependymomas generally tend to be more common in adults than children. Men are also more likely to develop a subependymoma than women.
What are the symptoms of Subependymoma?
Symptoms of subependymoma generally depend on the tumor location. Some people do not have symptoms, while others may experience headaches, fatigue, dizziness, memory loss, changes in vision, loss of bladder control, or seizures.
