I have many interests in medicine, including preventive health care, women's health, adolescent health and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. I chose family medicine as it not only allows me to provide personalized long-term care to my patients, but I also have the ability to get to know my patients, their friends and family members. Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active. I hike, run and seek out new trails in the area with my family. I also spend weekends taking in the art, food, and music scene in Durham. I appreciate traveling, but this can get a little difficult as we have 5 rescue dogs of all ages who require a lot of attention!
