Dr. George S. Naseef
Overview
Dr. George S. Naseef is a partner at the Advanced Spine Center and is a board certified, fellowship-trained spine surgeon. He is an active member of the medical staff at Morristown Medical Center, and currently is the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Naseef is fully committed to excellence in spinal care. He has extensive experience in the treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar disc herniations and stenosis, traumatic spinal fractures, work-related injuries of the spine, and spinal tumors. He is frequently sought out to perform complicated revision procedures for patients whose previous spine surgery has failed. He practices with his colleagues Dr. Charles Gatto and Dr. Jason Lowenstein, and works closely with a team of specialists to coordinate and deliver care based on each patient’s unique needs. He is devoted to exploring nonoperative measures before considering surgical interventions. Dr. Naseef utilizes a variety of conservative treatment options, including physical therapy, oral pain and anti-inflammatory medications, and targeted injections, and when indicated, will consider surgical strategies to help treat his patients. Recognized for his dedication to excellence in spinal care, Dr. Naseef has been named one of The 150 Best Spine Surgeons in America by Newsweek, honored four times as a Top Doctor by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, and awarded both the Patient’s Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Award by Vitals.com. Dr. Naseef practices in Morristown, Bridgewater, and Sparta, NJ. He has privileges at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center. Dr. Naseef obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from Boston University. He performed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, during which he received an orthopedic fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. He performed his fellowship in spine surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY.
