Dr. Tyler D. Ingersoll
Overview
Dr. Tyler Ingersoll was motivated to pursue a career in medicine as a teen after his mother experienced a health event. He also has an uncle who is a family medicine physician that further inspired him. Dr. Ingersoll became a board-certified family physician with advanced training in sports medicine. As a former athlete, he understands the need for recovery and improved well-being following injury. He is committed to combining medicine and athletics in a way that helps patients prevent illness and recover from injury. Dr. Ingersoll graduated with his medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Miss. He did his family medicine residency at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa before completing his sports medicine fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Dr. Ingersoll has provided physician coverage for a variety of sports programs, including Texas Tech Athletics and the Tulsa Drillers Indoor Arena Football team. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
