
Overview
Jonathan M. Gross, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified specialist in orthopaedic surgery and trauma. Fellowship trained in trauma, he specializes in the treatment of complex fractures, broken bones, and other injuries sustained through traumatic events. He was recognized by Castle Connolly for his excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery and awarded Regional Top Doctor 2018-2021 and Top Doctor NY Metro Area 2019-2021.
Dr. Gross is a New York native. He attended Hamilton College in Clinton, NY where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, he received his Master of Public Health degree from the School of Public Health at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Gross earned his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic and General Surgery at the Einstein University Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Dr. Gross obtained sub-specialty training in orthopaedic trauma and reconstructive surgery at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Gross is fellowship trained in Trauma and General Orthopaedic Surgery with special attention to reconstructive surgery. He has authored numerous peer reviewed publications for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Orthpaedic Transactions medical journals. Dr. Gross also presented at national conferences with special attention to innovative treatments for femur and pelvic fracture care. In conjunction with his tenure at Healthcare Associates in Medicine, a division of Orlin & Cohen Medical Specialists Group, Dr. Gross serves as a founding team physician at the Center for Hip and Knee Replacement Center of Staten Island University Hospital South Campus.
