During my training, I served locally at Harborview Medical Center, Children’s Hospital, University of Washington Hospital, and the Seattle Veterans Administration Hospital.After my general orthopedics training, I was accepted at Harvard Medical School’s Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship where I served on the staff of Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Boston and the VA Boston Healthcare System.During my tenure in Boston, I performed complex adult and pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery, working amongst and learning from world leaders in the subspecialty. While in Boston, I also qualified for and competed in the 114th running of the Boston Marathon.I grew up in Shoreline, WA, and am quite happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest for good. Outside of medicine, I enjoys many sports including skiing, golf, running and tennis. My greatest pride is my wonderful wife and lifetime best friend, Mary, and our wonderful children. Wendy Heusch, DO, is a Pacific Northwest native, originally from Oregon. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound where she played volleyball on the 1993 NAIA Championship team. Her orthopedic training has taken her from West Coast to East Coast and although she enjoyed each area of the country, she believes there is no place quite like the Northwest.Her practice interests include treating all sports related injuries, with special interests in the shoulder and knee. She completed an Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Orthopedic Research of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia where she learned from some of the most respected arthroscopic surgeons in the country about the latest techniques in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. These include all arthroscopic surgery of the rotator cuff and other disorders of the shoulder including dislocations and instability, as well as ACL surgery of the knee.
