Dr. Kendall E. Bradley
Overview
I am a sports medicine surgeon specializing in injuries of the knee, shoulder, and elbow with a focus in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. As a North Carolina native and former Duke student athlete, I am motivated to treat patients of all ages and skill levels with a team-based approach to care. My mission is to understand each patient’s individual goals and personalize a treatment plan that fits their life and lifestyle. I perform complex knee surgery, including ACL and meniscus surgery, patellar stabilizations, osteotomies, multi-ligament knee injuries, and cartilage preservation and restoration. I also do complex shoulder surgery, including shoulder stabilization, rotator cuff surgery, and superior capsular reconstruction. For pediatric patients, I have spent additional time training at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, gaining additional education for how to approach injuries specific to children, including growth plate sparing techniques and osteochondral defects. Clinical Research
Clinical research consists of overseeing clinical studies of patients undergoing new treatments and therapies, and publishing articles in peer reviewed medical journals. Providers who actively participate in clinical research are generally at the forefront of the fields and aware of the most up-to-date advances in treatments for their patients.

Helping my patients maintain their athletic identity in the face of injury is the heart of my work as an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. My experiences as a collegiate gymnast, runner, and mom of athletes helps me understand the mental and physical benefits of sports participation and exercise. My goal is to return my patients to the activities that are meaningful to them as safely as possible while minimizing risk of re-injury. I have special interest in treating adolescent knee injuries including ACL tears and patellar instability, elbow injuries, and shoulder instability. I also treat shoulder pain in patients of all ages and commonly perform arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs. Shoulder function is key to many people’s daily living and independence, in addition to athletics. I am thrilled to be a member of the Duke Sports Medicine team and the Wake County community.
