Dr. Robert Bonzani
Overview
A proud South Side of Chicago native, Dr. Bonzani is a board-certified urologist who completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine. He then headed to Detroit, where he spent six intense (and very chilly) years training at the renowned Henry Ford Health System. After that, he returned to private practice, where he’s been proudly serving patients for decades.
Not sure how to break the ice with your urologist? Start with the White Sox. Or better yet, ask Dr. Bonzani about the time the future Pope lived just blocks away from him — yes, that Pope — who was also Cardinal of one of his children’s high schools. It’s a funny story and a great way to get a feel for his bedside manner (spoiler: it’s top-notch and never boring).
