
Overview
Ismée A. Williams, MD, MS, is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. William’s clinical focus centers on providing fetal cardiology care. After earning her Doctor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1999, Dr. Williams completed her pediatrics internship and residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in 2002. She remained at the institution to complete a postgraduate fellowship in pediatric cardiology, with a subspeciality in imaging and fetal cardiology, in 2006. Dr. Williams earned her Master of Science in Biostatistics at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health the same year. Dr. William’s research focuses on identifying early predictors of neurodevelopmental outcomes in children born with congenital heart disease. She has been a principal investigator as well as a co-investigator on a number of National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant-supported research projects and her work has been shared through numerous peer-reviewed publications, published abstracts and invited national and international presentations. Dr. Williams is a reviewer for several scientific journals, including the Journal of Pediatrics, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, among others. Dr. Williams is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics with a subboard certification in Pediatric Cardiology. She is an elected Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member of several professional associations, including the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, among others. In 2014, Dr. Williams received the Best Abstract and Mentor/Senior Author award from the Pediatric Cardiology Society of Greater New York.
