Dr. Gomez-Viso’s Training Dr. Gomez-Viso received bachelor’s degrees in biology and biochemistry from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and earned his medical degree from New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Langone Health and a fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. About Dr. Gomez-Viso Dr. Gomez-Viso is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, licensed as a medical doctor by the Florida Department of Health and is a member of the American Urogynecology Society. During his fellowship at Duke, he received a research grant and was the principal investigator for a performance measure to assess patient outcomes after pelvic organ prolapse treatment. Outside of work, Dr. Gomez-Viso enjoys spending time with family, traveling, indoor cycling and trying new restaurants. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
