The relationship that had forged over time with her family physician turned out to be important to Dr. Alexandra Kreiselman as a teen and later as she made the decision to become a doctor. After earning a degree in molecular genetics and some time working with a genetic counselor, she realized that forging lifelong relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds in a science-based field was the right choice for her. Dr. Kreiselman sees patients from their teens through geriatrics for the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic illness. She practices prevention-based medicine, working with patients to make important lifestyle choices that impact health. Relying on open and honest communication, she wants patients to feel free to be themselves and to share what matters to them. She encourages everyone to consider techniques other than medication, when appropriate, to achieve health and wellness.An Ohio native, Dr. Kreiselman is married and has two cats and a dog. She likes to get involved in public health issues on local, state and national levels. She enjoys walking and hiking with her dog. As a lifelong runner having participated in cross country and track, she looks forward to running in the Flying Pig Marathon.
