Dr. Alexandra Lyndon
Overview
I provide psychiatric care to children with neurodevelopmental differences such as autism or intellectual disability. I strive to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning, addressing medication needs for co-occurring psychiatric conditions as well as working with families, caregivers, therapists and other medical providers, school systems and other supports to help my patients flourish. In addition to serving as a psychiatrist in the Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development, I am a researcher investigating novel tools to measure neurodevelopmental differences. I enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams, clinically and in research.

Even in the setting of severe illness, interacting with children is uplifting and extremely rewarding. Children truly demonstrate the resilience of the human spirit.
