I enjoy listening to patients’ stories, understanding their unique circumstances and helping them feel heard and supported.My experience from working as an ER nurse in Milwaukee to practicing in both large and small cities showed me how distance and limited resources can create real barriers to care. My interest in family medicine and experience in gastroenterology further highlighted the lack of specialty services in rural Wisconsin. By becoming a nurse practitioner and returning to my roots, I am able to serve the community I care deeply about and help bridge the gap in rural healthcare access.
