Overview
I am a family health nurse practitioner and currently work from home as a virtual NP. In this role, I see patients for video or telephone visits. I also support providers who normally work in the clinic and may be out for the day. I may reply to patient messages or calls, refill medications, or handle labs or other test results. I work with patients of all ages, seeing them virtually for health concerns such as sinus infections and urinary tract infections, depression and anxiety, medication follow-up, and COVID antiviral treatment, among other things. It's rewarding to provide another health care option for our patients. My virtual role also lets me respond to patients' questions or concerns in a timely manner, so they don't have to wait for their provider to return to the clinic. I thoroughly enjoy working from home. I have a bit more flexibility and can provide the time needed to care for each patient. My philosophy of care incorporates the mind, body and spirit - I think they all work together. As a provider, I tend to consider all these aspects when evaluating my patients' needs and developing a plan of care. I value and respect my patients' input in their care and believe patient care should involve a team approach.
