Overview
My philosophy of care is to cherish every patient’s medical journey and strive to provide safe and compassionate care. I offer the full range of Obstetrics and Gynecology and well-woman care including expertise in routine and high-risk pregnancies, contraception, menopause care, minimally invasive surgery, pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding.|Why I Love My Work|There is no question that a career in medicine would be incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. It is a privilege to be trusted with such confidential, complex, and emotional circumstances. I enjoy guiding women as they find the best remedy for them, that be surgery, medication, or simple self-care techniques.|Getting to Know Me|Outside of work, I love exploring new areas, preferably from a patio view with my husband and three young boys. I enjoy endurance sports including long distance races, trail running and stroller jogs. Additional hobbies include hiking, biking, camping, tennis, cooking, boating, water skiing and almost any activity outdoors. I also enjoy going on adventures with my dogs.

In my role as an OB/GYN, I like to collaborate with patients to decide on the best approach to treating conditions.|My clinical interests include pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids and complex gynecologic surgery.|Why I Love My Work|I love talking to and collaborating with patients and getting to know them.|Getting to Know Me|My father was a general practitioner in Alexandria, Minnesota. I saw how much he loved practicing medicine, and that inspired me to do the same. I chose OB-GYN because it had all the elements in medicine that I loved, such as the ability to do surgery, deliver babies and have long-term relationships with patients.|I did a live call radio show on myTalk 107.1 from 2009-2017 called the Gyno Show, which focused on women’s health issues. In 2018, I left live radio and developed two podcasts on Matriarch Digital Media, which focused on women’s health and endometriosis.|I was recognized in 2024 and 2025 as a Minnesota Monthly Top Doctor.|Outside of work, I am obsessed with historical fiction as well as culinary history.
