
Overview
Anna Stein, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a special interest in medical education and improving quality of care and safety for patients. Dr. Stein joined the Valley Medical Center family as a hospitalist in 2012 and currently works as a nocturnist, or night hospitalist. She recently served as an Assistant Medical Director for the hospitalist team. Dr. Stein has a special interest in international medicine and has volunteered on medical mission trips in the Philippines and in Haiti. Dr. Stein received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Chemistry from Oregon State University and earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her internship and residency training in internal medicine at University of Washington where she remained as an academic hospitalist in the medical and surgical intensive care units until 2012. She is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians. Outside of medicine, Dr. Stein enjoys hiking, running, snowboarding, fishing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son as well as with her extended family and friends.
