
Overview
Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Bailey Lee earned his undergraduate degree in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan and his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Board certified in ophthalmology, Dr. Lee has been in practice since 1988. He treats glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, eye pain and other vision issues. He also performs eye exams as well as retinal and LASIK surgery. Before practicing in Houston, Dr. Lee served as Director of the Retina Service at UT Health San Antonio Medical School’s Department of Ophthalmology. He has published several papers and book chapters and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Ophthalmological Association, Houston Ophthalmological Society, the Vitreous Society and the Retina Society. In his leisure time, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with wife and two sons.
