
Overview
Ben Kadas is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has spent more than 20 years caring for children, adults, and families with compassion and expertise.
He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed additional graduate studies in allied sciences at the University of Oregon and Virginia Polytechnic.
Ben’s dedication to community wellbeing began early in his career with the Peace Corps in Guinea Bissau, West Africa—a formative experience that sparked his lifelong commitment to rural development and community mental health, where he has served since 1990.
With deep experience supporting people of all ages and backgrounds, Ben has a special passion for working with children and individuals with developmental disorders. He views physical health and emotional wellbeing as inseparable and practices evidence based medicine, partnering closely with patients and care teams to support whole person health.
Although raised in the Western United States, Ben thinks of himself as a Southerner after many years spent in Virginia and Tennessee.
Outside of his clinical work, Ben finds joy in working on his farm, practicing carpentry, exploring mountain trails on his bike, and spending quality time with his family.
