Overview
I am an adolescent and adult psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring conditions including mood and anxiety disorders. I developed an interest in eating disorders as a medical student at the University of Iowa and fostered that interest with research and clinical work as a psychiatry resident at the University of Minnesota. I am passionate about evidence based treatments for eating disorders, and I have had training in Family Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Enhanced, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I utilize both medication and therapy modalities to help patients reach their full potential. I collaborate closely with patients and families as they work toward recovery. I also enjoy teaching medical students and residents about the complexities of working with patients with eating disorders. I was born and raised in North Dakota and have lived in the Twin Cities since 2006. My husband and I have a daughter and 2 dogs. I enjoy spending time with my family, running, boating, stand up paddle boarding, and traveling.
