Dr. Bradford Schwartz

Natalie Callander, MD, is a UW Health hematologist specializing in blood disorders and multiple myeloma blood cancer. She’s also a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.Dr. Callander treats multiple myeloma and complications such as anemia, bone fractures and infections. She leads the multiple myeloma clinical program at the UW Health|Carbone Cancer Center. Dr. Callander’s specialties include advanced stem cell transplantation, during which patients may receive their own transplanted cells or compatible donor cells.Understanding that cancer care can feel overwhelming, Dr. Callander takes time to listen to her patients and guide them through treatment options and care. Though the care she provides is very clinical, she believes compassion is key. She enjoys getting to know each of her patients in order to tailor their care to best meet their needs and preferences.In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Kenkre is involved with clinical research trials for people with lymphoma.In her free time, Dr. Kenkre enjoys traveling and spending time with her children.Even though the medical part of what I do is very clinical, getting to know each person’s experiences and expectations allows me to tailor their care to fit their unique needs.
