Hsu is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, National Kidney Foundation, International Society of Nephrology, Chinese American Society of Nephrology, Association of Specialty Professors and Renal Physicians Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Nephrology, and has been voted a best doctor by San Francisco magazine, Marin Magazine and Castle Connolly, a consumer guide to preeminent U.S. health care.
